New taco stand restaurant opening in Mid City Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Barracuda Taco Stand and Margarita Garden will soon be opening its third location in the state in Mid City Baton Rouge.

The restaurant said it plans on opening in early December on the corner of Government Street and St. Rose Avenue. Menu items include carne asada and crispy fish tacos, salsa and the ability to turn any item into a bowl served with green rice and beans or corn, lime and crema, according to a press release.

“We’re really excited to be making progress on our location in Baton Rouge,” says Barracuda owner, Brett Jones. “I loved the strong sense of community that I experienced when I lived in Baton Rouge and we believe that every neighborhood needs a great taco stand, so we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring our love for tacos and margs and a great place to work to Mid City.”

Residents can get a taste of Barracuda’s margaritas ahead of opening at White Light Night on Nov. 18 at 2504 Government Street.

Barracuda, which was founded in 2018, has two existing locations in Uptown New Orleans and Algiers Point.
