Firefighters with the Chicota Volunteer Fire Department are getting ready for a hamburger/hot dog supper and auction to raise funds for the department. The event will happen Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, starting at 5 p.m. at the Chicota Community Center.

“We’ll have all-you-can-eat burgers and dogs,” officials said. “We’ll also have homemade desserts and lots of great auction items.”

In addition, there will be door prizes for both children and adults. The doors open at 5 p.m. and the auction starts at 5:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Anyone who would like to donate to the live auction can do so by contacting the department at 903-517-7150.

“Your donations and support are what keeps our doors open and trucks rolling,” officials said. “Thank you for your continued support.”

The Chicota Community Center is at 100 County Road 35860 in Chicota.
